Ellie Saab proudly presented his latest Haute Couture Spring 2016 collection. Without a doubt it’s one of his most mind-blowing to date. The famous Lebanese fashion designer did not fail to deliver as he showcased an impressive 50 dresses and suits, all of which were absolutely stunning.
As always, the smaller details of beads and embroidery were the stars of Elie Saab’s Haute Couture Spring 2016 show. However, the designs and silhouettes brought something totally new to the showcase. A few of the designs were clearly inspired by Indian national wear and even some by Pakistani national style. The combination of bell skirts, long scarfs and pants all looked so elegant and glamorous.
Now for the accessories. I for one fell head over heels in love with these. There were really too many to recite about but here’s a few of my favourites. The matching boots and couture gowns were definitely one of my personal favourites closely followed by amazingly funky belt bags and backpacks. Lets not forget the stunning headpieces that gave the perfect finishing touch. The colours really stole the show. He chose blends that were so gentle and intimate. The lavender shades were gorgeous but the ivory was definitely the best choice in my opinion.
In summary, here are 3 words that capture the Spring 2016 collection: elegant, mind-blowing and captivating. If this article isn’t enough to get you intrigued, check out the collection for yourself.
