SUMMARY:Mid-East Music Class and Orchestra in San Antonio
DESCRIPTION:Are you interested in playing or singing Turkish and middle east music? Both pros and amateurs are welcome.We’ll teach you as much as you want to learn and the classes are free.\n\nOpen to anyone who can play an instrument or sing at any level. We will be teaching and playing traditional Turkish music as well as other mid-east styles including Greek\, Arabic\, Jewish and Armenian. We hope this will lead to a community orchestra and performances at festivals and events.\n\nThis is an opportunity to learn both the music and the structure and theory of Makam (the scales of eastern music).\n\nClasses are at 1pm every Saturday at the Raindrop Turkish Center.
