DESCRIPTION:NY Arabic Orchestra Fall Arabic Music Workshop that educates students on maqamaat (scales)\, ornamentation\, iqa'at (rhythms)\, the Arabic art of improvisation and classical repertoire of Lebanon\, Syria and Egypt. \n\n \n\nThe workshop spans one weekend\, a total of 8 hours of instruction\, and concludes with a recital concert. All instruments are welcome.\n\n \tSaturday 4:30-8:30pm\n \tSunday 11:00am-3:00pm\n\n
