DESCRIPTION:For this reason\, the Khayrallah Center for Lebanese Diaspora Studies and the Maronite Eparchy of Our Lady of Lebanon are offering a FREE workshop on collecting and preserving oral history and photographs within the community.\n\nWhere: St. George Maronite Catholic Church (6070 Babcock Rd.\, San Antonio\, Texas)\nWhen: Thursday\, June 23\, 2016 (9 am – 4 pm).\nRegistration: required\n The workshop includes:\n\n\n\tTraining: Learn to conduct oral history interviews and digitize materials with attention to ethics\, technology and history;\n\tDigitizing Historical Documents: Put the training into practice by conducting interviews with local community members\, and scanning their photos and letters to preserve.\n\n\nThe Khayrallah Center will provide participants with audio recording and digital scanning devices.\n\nThe workshop is limited to twenty participants and applications will be accepted up to June 1st.
