Accentuating Eyes with the Right Makeup

Posted by: ArabLounge Staff In: Arab Culture| Arab Stuff| Lifestyle

Eyes are the portal into the soul, as the saying goes. They are oftentimes the most noticeable, attractive and alluring facet of a woman’s face, a fact that Arab women have known distinctly for centuries.
The eyes are often the only thing that can be seen behind a burqa, and many women use their beautiful eyes to stand out among a sea of sameness.

The right tools, makeup and techniques are essential when accentuating the eyes, and a few tips to getting eyes that stand out are:

Due to mounting evidence and a slew of bad publicity, Britain expelled an Israeli diplomat over the suspected use of a dozen fake British passports in the assassination of a leading Hamas official in Dubai.

The murder, which took place in a Dubai hotel in January, has been regarded as being carried out by Israeli government officials who wished to take out Mahmoud al-Mabhouth.

An embassy spokesperson refused to identify the diplomat, telling the Associated Press that they “can neither confirm nor deny” the expulsion.

The fighting, the stony silences, cold shoulders, and the constant berating. When a relationship is in the midst of a crisis, it can spell disaster for other aspects of your life, too.

If your relationship is in the dumps, it’s likely that it’s affecting your performance in other aspects of your life, as well. That’s why when things aren’t going well, taking a break is a great option to just recharge yourselves and focus on yourself.
So when do you know if you need to spend time apart? There’s no magic formula, but there are some warning signs that should be a red flag:

Trying to land and keep a job is hard enough in these tough economic times, but finding a good job in a field that interests you is even harder.
There are hundreds of applicants for every position open and competition has never been more fierce. People are doing whatever they can to improve their chances at getting a job that’s desirable, has long-term potential, and of course, high compensation.

Having a bachelor’s degree or even a masters sometimes just doesn’t equal into a cushy job like it once used to.

Getting clear skin is an arduous battle. It’s frustrating, expensive and so time consuming. It’s also extremely profitable for the beauty industry that plays into people’s self consciousness.

Instead of slathering up your skin with expensive and brutally painful creams, balms and scrubs, natural ingredients and home remedies are beginning to gain popularity for their soothing and inexpensive ways of clearing up skin.
There are many ways to achieve clearer skin by just going down the grocery aisle or looking into the old Arab home remedies for beautiful skin.

Ever been in that situation where you thought someone liked you and it turned out they didn’t? Or that you were absolutely sure you were just friends, and they turned out to have feelings for you?
Guess what? It happens all the time, and yes, it happens to almost everyone. There are overt signs, and then there are the clues that you’d have to just know to be able to tell that they’re interested in that way.

Two men who have been sentenced to death for the murder of Suzanne Tamim, a Lebanese pop star, have appealed against their conviction in Egypt.

Hisham Talaat Moustafa and Muhsin Sukkari are accused of killing the 30-year-old Tamim in her apartment in Dubai in July of 2008.
Moustafa, a prominent Egyptian politician, billionaire, and friend of Hosni Mubarak’s son, hired Sukkari, an ex-policeman, to kill Tamim for $2 million after she ended her affair with Moustafa.

Compromises and Fights

Posted by: ArabLounge Staff In: Arab Culture| Arab Dating Tips| Arab Marriage| Arab Stuff| Opinions

When should you compromise and when do you stand your ground? Well, there’s no real science to it, but many couples figure this out eventually from trial and error.

Trying to compromise all the time and keeping the peace often times means that your opinions aren’t heard or that you may start to resent the person because you’re not getting what you really want.

However, standing your ground and defending your position can mean constant fighting and bickering. What to do?

There are times when you need to decide which course of action is better for both yourself and your relationship. Here are some good examples of when to compromise:
How do you know when it’s the right time to walk away from a relationship?

This question is fraught with landmines—it’s never easy to walk away from someone you love, but sometimes it’s the best thing for you.

There is no right or wrong answer when it comes to love. Some people stay in the worst relationships because they cannot bear to be apart from the person they fell in love with, or because they hate the idea of being alone. Everyone knows one pf these people.

But when it comes to personal safety, there are a few red flags everyone should be able to spot as a warning sign. These are signals that its time to not only reevaluate why you’re with this person, but whether or not you will continue to be with them. The following are things to watch out for:
Good friends are there for everything in your life. They drive you to be better, make sure you don’t make a fool of yourself, have fun, and most importantly, look out for you.

That’s why, when they don’t like your boyfriend or girlfriend, it can raise a lot of problems. Animosity between your partner and your group of friends or a friend can become heated and often puts you in the uncomfortable position of being stuck in the middle.
