Ramses Wissa Wassef Tapestries at the MOMA

The Ramses Wissa Wassef Art Centre is proud to announce that The Metropolitan Museum of Art Store in New York City are selling Ramses Wissa Wassef tapestries by artists Sayed Mahmoud, Basima Mohamed and Nagla Farouk.
The tapestries are displayed on Mezzanine level of The Met Store and in the special exhibition shop that accompanies the exhibition “Ancient Egypt Transformed: The Middle Kingdom” running until January 24, 2016.
For more than 30 years, The MET Store has been selling original textiles such as Kilims from Turkey and surrounding areas; Ikats from Central Asia; Kente and Indigo cloths from Ghana and Nigeria; and Obis from Japan. The RWWAC is pleased to represent Egypt among these other great international traditions.
The Metropolitan Museum of Art galleries and The Met Store are open Sunday–Thursday from 10:00 a.m. to 5:30 p.m and open until 9:00 PM on Saturday andSunday. The entrance to The Met Store is FREE from the main lobby.
This public display of tapestries in NYC is the first since the 1970s, catch them before they sell out!
