Adding a touch of elegance to a woman is the “age old tradition” of henna. Originating from India, women have adorned their hands and feet in beautiful designs for centuries, with each culture developing their unique techniques and designs. Our Arabic henna is not as popular in Western cultures as that of the Indian henna, but is stunning and becoming more trendy. If it’s something you have not yet tried, get together with your girlfriends for an Arabic henna night.
Our Arabic style is unique to our culture. Many of our designs include leaves, vines, and flowers which create a flowing style. These designs do not necessarily have to fill the entire hand, beginning on the palm and flowing beautifully onto the wrists, and over the top of the hand.
Our designs seem to reflect “scattered patterns” which are extended further with additional leaves and dots for a more “discrete look.” These are often preferred for those having their henna tattoo for the first time, as they don’t want to have too much of their skin covered in patterns.
Arabic henna is used for many occasions, as bridal make-up, party make-up, and festive events. Arabic brides still hold their traditional henna parties, where the bride has both her hands and feet painted in designs to bring her good luck and fertility.
Arabic henna tattoos are becoming more popular, and additions to a basic henna design can be made adding different colors, stickers and sparkling jewels, which has become quite a trend amongst youngsters. There are some simple designs which are suitable for everyday use and don’t require much application time, with flowing leaves which add a touch of color to your skin. These can even be applied at home, so why not try and create your own henna designs?
