Arabic Percussion Class in Fort Collins

Arabic Percussion Class features rhythm lessons and song creation on a number of Middle Eastern drums like doumbek, tar and riqq. The class is taught by Donovan Warnick, national instructor and featured performer at Elevation Belly Dance Festival!

Explore the beauty of Middle Eastern music. Discover what makes this genre so special. Discuss the origins and purposes of the rhythm and cover several variations and see how the pieces play together. This class will be fun for all levels. If you do not have an instrument of your own, you must contact the instructor to determine the availability of an instrument for class. Additionally, if you are interested in purchasing an instrument, Donovan is an excellent resource.

This will be a 6 week session starting Thursday, 9/8 and ending Thursday, 10/13! Facebook events no longer extend past two weeks so we are posting full class session dates here in the event description.

Drop in’s are $12 per class or you may pay $60 for a full six-week session on the first day of class- that’s one class free!
