A mesmerizing concert you will not want to miss!
Rimsky-Korsakov’s symphonic suite “Scheherazade” is based on One Thousand and One Nights. This brilliant orchestral suite is considered Rimsky-Korsakov’s most popular work.
The band will also perform James Hosay’s “Persis” (another name for Persia); a mysterious Middle Eastern work combining lively orchestration and a “stunning chase.”
“Suite Divermento” by Germaine Tailleferre was a model of the late Renaissance dance suite. Each movement has a distinct style and melody, with the suite as a whole, being unmistakably in the compositional style of the group of French composers known as of Les Six – you will surely enjoy!
