LAHC 28th Annual Awards Gala

The LAHC 28th Annual Awards Gala is scheduled to take place on Friday May 6th, 2016 at the Edward Village Michigan – Hotel and Convention Center, formerly known as the Regency Dearborn Hotel and Convention Center.

 Attended annually by over twelve hundred people of the corporate, government and grassroots community, this high profile event is an opportunity for the LAHC to recognize students of high academic distinction with educational scholarships, assisting them in their pursuit of higher education. With your support, we plan to award over $100,000 in scholarships, this year.

 Additionally, we are privileged to recognize the accomplishments of two phenomenal leaders for their remarkable efforts and contributions to the greater American community. We are proud to announce that the 2016 LAHC Award for Excellence and Great Achievements will be bestowed upon Mr. Ziad Ojakli, Group Vice President, Government and Community Relations, Ford Motor Company and Ms. Veronika Scott, Founder and CEO of the Empowerment Plan in Detroit. 

 Moreover, we welcome America’s Got Talent First Runner up, Drew Lynch, who will dazzle the crowd with a stand-up comedy performance.
