Opening Reception: She Who Tells A Story

April 7, 2016 @ 7:30 pm - 9:30 pm

Cost:
$25 for general admission $15 for members USD

Come for an evening reception for the opening of the special exhibition “She Who Tells a Story: Women Photographers from Iran and the Arab World.”

Enjoy a first-look at the exhibition, behind-the-scenes spotlight tours, light refreshments, and a cash bar. Each ticket comes with two complimentary drink vouchers. $25 for general admission and $15 for members.

About the Exhibition:
In Arabic, the word rawiya means “she who tells a story.” The idea of a woman storyteller is a fitting premise for these photographs made by pioneering women with roots in Iran and the Arab world. More than 70 photographs probe ideas about personal identity and vital political issues—and invite viewers to confront their own preconceptions.
