UPA Benefit Concert in Arlington: A Night for Palestine – Music for Life

Please join us for an evening to raise awareness and funds for Palestinians in need. The evening will feature Palestinian musician, composer and educator Ramzi Aburedwan andDal’ouna Ensemble, featuring Lebanese singer Abeer Nehme on Sunday, October 2nd, 2016.

 

As you arrive and check-in between 6:00 and 7:00pm, view “Gaza Through a Child’s Eyes” – a UPA Gaza children’s art exhibit. The music program will begin at 7:00pm.

 

Featured in concert will be the music of Ramzi Aburedwan and his Arabic-French Dal’ouna Ensemble: a dynamic fusion of Palestinian folk, classical, jazz and world music. Ensemble members include renowned composer, violist and buzouk player Ramzi Aburedwan and percussionist Tareq Rantisi from Palestine, oud player Ziad Ben Youssef from Tunisia, Edwin Buger from Yugoslavia on accordion, and special guest vocalist Abeer Nehme from Lebanon.
