There are 7.5 million Christians in the Middle East, who live under constant threat of death and humiliation. They are increasingly desperate in the face of rising Islamic extremism and their only hope for survival may be fleeing into exile.
Why have we not done more to protect this beleaguered minority?
Klaus Wivel is the author of The Last Supper: The Plight of Christians in Arab Lands. He is a Copenhagen-based journalist for Danish newspaper Weekendavisen.
Wivel will be in conversation with Eliza Griswold, author of The Tenth Parallel: Dispatches from the Fault Line Between Christianity and Islam and the July 2015 New York Times Magazine cover story “Is This the End of Christianity in the Middle East?“
